Today was agility training and I went early to take some photos of young Sam (B.Saumur). He has soon got the hang of targeting !
Chatter had a good time too and was really responsive. Deja was altogether too fast for the camera so had to take her photo standing. You can see by their expressions how much they are enjoying themselves. We don't seem to have heard much more about our earthquake, although at the time it was really scary ! Not the sort of thing we are used to in the UK. A week today and Crufts starts and there will be Belgians of all varieties on the Discover Dogs stands, drop by and say hello, this is a tiring day for these dogs and there owners, and they all do a great job educating the public about our wonderful breed.

Bonvivant Saumur, owned by Barbara Walker-Smith, was Best Puppy AVNSC at Matlock open show yesterday at Newark and had Puppy GP 2.
Here he is out on his walk today in the mud.
I have been busy outside all weekend mending gates and generally working round kennels. What a relief to get all the paddocks back into commission--it sounds like Butlins holiday camp out there today with all the dogs enjoying themselves. Nights are certainly drawing out now but I can't wait for those light evenings and the dogs get at least eight hours in the sunshine (we can hope).
Fencing repairs next. Rain on the way so it will still be a while before we get mowing the field again. Lots of molehills out there this year and the cats have caught a few moles too. Chiraze loves molehills and pushes her nose down the top of them, but she is obsessed by small furry critters ! Fortunately for moly she has never caught one.
Psyche, the Groenendael, is getting very big now with less than 3 weeks to go but enjoyed "helping" out in the field.

Happy Birthday !!!! February 22nd
The Bonvivant "A" Litter are eleven years old today and going strong.By Lanaeken Standout at Sabrefield x Sabrefield Right Answer for Bonvivant :- B.Arc en Ciel(middle pic taken May'07), Australian CH. B. Alcheringa(top pic), B. Another Hero, B. Another Story, B. Ambassador, B. Acappela, B. Accolade(bottom pic) and B.Ambition. Ciel, Zippy and Pye live at home and are still behaving like youngsters. Many of you know Ciel, who took RCC at the BSDA of GB Ch.show, and has had Best Bitches,Best Veterans including BVIShow at the NBSDC in May. Ciel has also been a mainstay in the Breeders Stakes where she adds her special zing!!! She will be at Crufts yet again this year(she gets very cross if she is left at home).
Her sister Beany was to go to Australia and become a Champion. She was at Belgenbeau kennels, where she was to produce some wonderful dogs for them, and, only today I had a wonderful email from Linda extolling her virtues. Zulu and Delta live with Pete Rowlands and Zulu is the crazy dog who tries to knock me off my feet on the two occasions I see him every year. Taz was Hampshire Polices' first Malinois, Will went to work for the MOD, Pye came back to us and has been a Security dog until recently. Zippy is a homeloving dog who just likes to play in the paddock and have lots of hugs every day. Happy Birthday guys!!!

Christianne rang me with the news that Stellar (B.Hepona) had had her puppies two days early in time for Valentines Day ! By the end of the day, taking things leisurely, Stellar had eight pups, 3 bitches and 5 dogs.
Exciting news as this is the first litter by Cliche (Bonvivant des Iles Fidji Imp), it will be interesting to see how they develop.
